The Cross Keys is a truly historic place. Founded in 1708 The Original Cross Keys preceded its neighbour, the original Chelsea porcelain factory, and has seen a wealth of figures pass through its doors to drink and make merry. Some notable local figures included Dante Gabriel Rossetti, J.M.W. Turner, James Whistler, William Holman Hunt and John Singer Sargent as well as George Meredith, Thomas Carlyle and Agatha Christie.

The Cross Keys has recently changed ownership and has already undergone extensive refurbishments. We are fully open to the public and boast an all new restaurant menu to be enjoyed in the renovated airiness of the new restaurant with fully retractable roof for those sunny days. We also have an all new wine list, which now includes Fine Wines.

In the bar we have added two new draught lagers, Coor’s Light and Tiger and have just installed Tabletap. This is the first of its kind in London and allows people to avoid queuing at the bar and simply pour their own pint. See www.tabletap.co.uk The bar also features an all new bar menu with a fascinating range of dishes.

As ever we have our private function rooms available for party bookings. The Gallery is perfect for stand up receptions for up to 120 people and the Room At The Top (RATT) is ideal for private dining events of up to 40, or stand-up events of up to 60. Both function rooms feature their own bars and are fully staffed.
